Gig Starters is an initiative run by the NZ Music Commission to inspire and upskill new gig promoters to put on gigs of their own all around Aotearoa.

This NZ Music Month, Gig Starters is hosting a panel of knowledgeable music industry professionals and taking a deep dive into the ins and outs of running a successful gig! After our hui we’ll have some kai and get into an interactive soundcheck, making sure everything is ready to go for the free All-Ages gig featuring local artists!

4:00PM: An interactive hui with a panel of industry professionals led by our fantastic facilitator.

6.30PM: Be part of an interactive soundcheck where the event’s audio engineer will cover the ins and outs of a live production.

7.30PM: Gigging time! We welcome two amazing artists to the stage and open the doors for an epic all-ages event.
